Book Review: Bad Brides by Rebecca Chance

Title: Bad Brides

Author: Rebecca Chance
Publisher: Simon & Schuster UK
Publication Date: 27th March 2014

Good brides promise to obey.
Bad brides wouldn't dream of it… Milly Gamble is an up-and-coming actress, and the perfect English flower child. At 23, she's always been cast as the innocent heroine. But looks can deceive. Calculating and fiercely ambitious, Milly is determined to be the most famous star in England. And how better to achieve her goal than by dating Tarquin Ormond, lead singer of the biggest folk band of the moment? Tarquin is madly in love with Milly; Milly is only in love with herself.
Brianna Jade is an all-American pageant girl. The daughter of Tamra Maloney, a stunning billionairess, Brianna is a sweet, pretty girl who is more than happy to go along with her mother's ambitious plans for her. Now Tamra's brought her to the UK and hooked her up with an Earl. He has a crumbling stately home and needs a rich wife to help restore it to its former glory.
Tamra is as ambitious and determined as Brianna is sweet and innocent - is this more a case of mother-in-law-zilla than bridezilla? Both Milly and Brianna's upcoming weddings will be huge, lavish events that garner national press. But with the cover of the biggest magazine in the country to be won, things are about to get very dirty…

- "If the type of book your looking for has to be full of filth, cheekiness, feisty women, sex scenes with horny men then Bad Brides is the perfect book for you."

I am recently a new fan to Rebecca Chance's books and Bad Brides is the second book I have read by her,boy this book was even dirtier and more amazingly racy & cheeky.
You really will blush in public while reading!

We meet Milly Gamble and Brianna Jade two opposites completely, Milly is feisty, ambitious, selfish and wants to be the biggest star ever in England.
Brianna is the sweet American pageant girl who is a billionairess and is always happy to go along with her mum Tamra's plans for her.

The Queen of Bonk Buster is back once again! Huge fans of Rebecca Chance's books are going to love this just as much as the rest... Your going to love this book so much as the book is oozing with filth, sex, wedding scenes, obnoxious women, fit men and lots of champagne to go around..
I loved every minute of Bad Brides, I don't want to give too much away but you will giggle at most of the chapters but also gasp & blush at the amazingly detailed sex scenes...yes it wouldn't be a Rebecca Chance book if it didn't have plenty of sex scenes in the chapters! Bad Brides has been written perfectly and you really do get to know all the characters. I was hooked and couldn't stop reading this fab piece.

I urge everybody to pick up Bad Brides this year..why? because it is one of those cheeky reads you need while lying on a hot sandy beach on your holidays. I want to see lots of people have a copy of Bad Brides and brag about it for months about how dirty the book was but left you wanting more and more!

Book Lover's Tag

Do you remember how you developed a love for reading?
I started when i was really young and was given books for birthdays and Christmas. I also used to have little book clubs with friends and we used to read Enid Blyten books together.

Where do you usually read?
Anywhere it could be at home, in bed, bus, train, cafe, work, friend's house..

Do you prefer to read one book at a time or several at once?
It depends on whether i am hooked with the first book, sometimes i start straying when I see a book which has a lovely appealing cover and so then I end up reading two at a time.

What is your favourite genre?
My favourite genre would have to be Chick-lit, I can always pick up a good chick-lit book and fall right into the book and end up in laughter which always brightens my day.

What genre will you not read?
I tend to give any genre a try.

Do you have a favourite book?
Oh gosh, this is a real toughy Harry Potter Series are definitely at the top but I also adored Ps I Love You by Cecelia Ahern.
What is the worst book you’ve ever read?
The Juliette Society, I wouldn't say it was horrible, It was just not the type of book I normally read and couldn't enjoy so much.

What is the biggest book you’ve ever read?
Breaking Dawn(Twilight Saga Series) By Stephanie Meyer

What was the last book you bought?
I bought three books by John Green last week
- Paper Towns
- Looking for Alaska
- An Abdundance of Katherines

Which do you prefer library books or buying books?
I Prefer buying books as I love the new book smell and I hate damaged spines..I have big book problems.

What are you reading now?
I am currently reading Bad Brides by Rebecca Chance, It is her newest novel that is out later this month and I must say it is bloody brilliant!!

What are the disadvantages of being a book lover?
There is no disadvantages at all.. Book lovers are free to read and be sucked into the fairytale life of books..

Fiction Addiction Book Tour: Game Of Love by Melissa Foster

Title: Game of Love: The Remingtons
Author: Melissa Foster
Publication Date: 17th February 2014

Blurb
Ellie Parker is a master at building walls around her heart. In the twenty-five years she’s been alive, Dex Remington has been the only person who has always believed in her and been there for her. But four years earlier she came to Dex seeking comfort, and then disappeared like a thief in the night, leaving him a broken man.

Dex Remington is one of the top PC game developers in the U.S. He’s handsome, smart, and numb. So damn numb that he’s not sure he’ll ever find a reason to feel again.

A chance encounter sparks intense desires in Ellie and Dex. Desires that make her want to run—and make him want to feel. A combination of lust and fear leads these young lovers down a dangerous path. Is it possible to cross a burned bridge or are they destined to be apart forever?

Verdict
This is a new series of characters but also part of the Love in Bloom series by the lovely Melissa Foster, If you haven't read Sisters in bloom series and also Lovers in heart series with hunky men, I'd defo go grab them right away!

I am a huge fan of the Love In Bloom series when I found out Melissa was doing a fresh set of characters or hunky men should I say, I was jumping for joy hehe!
Game of Love starts with the sexy Dex Remington one of the top PC game developers in the U.S , he is very handsome, smart and numb.
Ellie Parker is 25 years old, Dex is the only person who has always believer in her and always been there. There is something between Ellie and Dex but can Ellie get over her past and can Dex have his heart healed again..

This is a great story, I loved every minute of it. Who wouldn't love a hunky man eh?
I loved the closeness between Dex and Ellie already and I knew they could pull through.
Yes there is plenty of sex scenes in this, but it wouldn't be right for a book by Melissa Foster not to have any hehe!
Dex and Ellie are clearly made for each other and even though Ellie has tendency to run away from problems and leave Dex heartbroken, She always comes back to him and they work through it.

A beautiful read in which I am going to carry on reading the rest of the series because the great thing with Melissa's books is that you get snippets of each of the other Remington children before you get their full story.
Game of Love is a story about Love, Heartbreak, Family's coming together & beautiful.

Book Review: Little Beach Street Bakery By Jenny Colgan

Title: Little Beach Street Bakery

Author: Jenny Colgan
Publisher: Sphere
Publication Date: 13th March 2014

Blurb
Polly Waterford is recovering from a toxic relationship. Unable to afford their townhouse, she has to move miles away from everyone, to the sleepy little seaside resort of Polbearne, where she lives alone above an abandoned shop.

And so Polly takes out her frustrations on her favourite hobby: making bread. But what was previously a weekend diversion suddenly becomes far more important as she pours her emotions into kneading and pounding the dough, and each loaf becomes better and better. With nuts and seeds, olives and chorizo, with local honey (courtesy of local bee keeper, Huckle), and with reserves of determination and creativity Polly never knew she had, she bakes and bakes and bakes . . . And people start to hear about it.

Sometimes, bread really is life . . . And Polly is about to reclaim hers.

Verdict
I am always a huge fan of Jenny Colgan's book and when I found out about Little Beach Street Bakery I was jumping up for joy. What do you think of the cover? I think it is ever so beautiful and so colourful, which is always something I love about Jenny's books.

So we meet Polly who is a single lady again after having a toxic relationship, she moves to the sleepy seaside resort of Polbearne, a little flat above an abandoned shop. Polly's favourite hobby is making bread, she tries every ingredient to make some tasty bread. Polly meet's some local people and has a lovely friendship between local bee keeper, Huckle, Strange at first but very cute towards the end :)

I loved this so much, It was great reading about Polly and starting her new life by the seaside, the little resort sounded so cute and would love to live by the sea. While reading this, I was daydreaming about homemade bread and being able to buy it from a bakery like Polly's.

The characters in Little Beach Street Bakery were great, I loved how something drastic happens and everybody comes together and tries to help each other and the families victims involved. Reuben had me in stitches with his witty comments and when he is chasing Polly's best friend Kerensa...
Also...Jenny please may I have a baby Puffin too? how cute was Kevin!?! Who couldn't resist a little baby Puffin, hehe adorable and there is nothing wrong than having an obsession about one of the cutest animal's ever!

One thing I always love about Jenny's books is they never fail to make you smile, laugh or even shed a few tears. They always will brighten your day or when you want a cosy day of reading.
I thought this book was great and Jenny's fan's are going to love this!
it is a perfect spring read! Don't miss out!

Loveable Characters, plenty of laughter, make you want to live by the sea and eat plenty of bread..makes this a perfect 5 star book!

Fiction Addiction Book Tours Review:Hopelessly Devoted To Holden Finn by Tilly Tennant

Title: Hopelessly Devoted To Holden Finn

Author: Tilly Tennant
Publisher: Createspace
Publication Date: 30th January 2014

Blurb

There’s only one man for Bonnie, and that’s Holden Finn.

The problem is that Holden Finn is a twenty-three-year-old pop megastar with his boy band, Every Which Way, and has no idea she exists. Not only that, but half the women in the world want to be Mrs Finn, including Bonnie’s teenage daughter, Paige. The real men in Bonnie’s life do nothing but let her down, but a man you can’t possibly have can never do that… right? She’s safe inside her fantasy bubble.

Then Paige wins a radio competition to meet Holden and the band, and Bonnie’s carefully-constructed world starts to unravel. She is about to find out that you should be very, very careful what you wish for …

Verdict
Firstly I love the cover of this so much, It's beautiful and so very eye catching!
I have huge thanks to Tilly herself for sending me a copy of this beautiful book & also to Sharon Goodwin for letting me part of Fiction Addiction Book Tours for this lovely book.

This book is just damn right perfect and a great easy read. You are going to laugh so much and will get hooked ever so quickly. This is the first book I have read by Tilly and I hope to read many more by her too!

I Loved Bonnie so much, reading about her having a crush on Holden Finn, a 23 year old pop megastar with his boy band, Every Which Way was just so cute but also bit cringey too especially when Bonnie's daughter Paige loves that band so much, I was in giggles though with certain bits of the book!
Paige is just your typical teenager either trying to get her own way or cringes at her mum's behaviour but you will love reading about Bonnie and her daughter Paige. Yes they don't have very much money but do many single parent families? Bonnie does the best she can and has some lovely friends/work colleagues!

I just loved the crazy talks between Bonnie and her friend/work colleague Linda, It kind of reminded me of me and my best friend and how crazy we are together and are always plotting things, and that's how Linda comes across in this book especially when she is trying to set Bonnie and Max up hehe!

I feel if you love chick-lit and easy reads then you are going to love this so much! Tilly Tennant has done a fabulous job of writing this book, you are going to fall in love with the book, maybe even with a few of the characters but you may also want to punch one of them in the face hehe!
Hopelessly Devoted To Holden Finn deserves 5 star rating because you will want to curl up and read this great book in one sitting!

About The Author
Tilly Tennant was born in Dorset but now lives in Staffordshire with her slightly nutty family. Tilly is married to Mr Tennant (not that one, though a girl can dream). After years of dismal and disastrous jobs, including paper plate stacking, shop girl, newspaper promotions and waitressing (she never could carry a bowl of soup without spilling a bit), she decided to indulge her passion for the written word by enrolling on a degree in English and creative writing. She wrote her first novel in 2007 during her first summer break at university and has not stopped writing since. She also works as a freelance editor, and considers herself very lucky that this enables her to read many wonderful books while getting paid for it.
